Valiant Living Detox and Assessment is a medical detox and mental health stabilization / assessment center in the Denver, Colorado metro area. We are a launching pad for addiction treatment located 35 minutes from Denver International Airport, providing a comprehensive set of services to men and women age 18 and up.
We are a 3.7 level ASAM sub-acute medical in-patient & detox facility and a 3.5 level ASAM residential treatment center accredited by The Joint Commission. Started in 2018, it has been nationally recognized by the behavioral health community as a trusted partner in the Denver metro. For over 30 years, founder and CEO Michael Dinneen has been a recognized expert in addiction and mental health and is an internationally known speaker, author and person in recovery.
Our facility and services include medically monitored detox, assessment, and short-term residential treatment. Our model fills days with healthy activities that let our staff best understand the individual in creating a more personalized path of recovery that includes secondary interventions and referral services. Our spacious living accommodations were developed around dignity, comfort, and safety with gender separate bedroom wings.
A Word From Our Founder

Michael Dinneen
Michael has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years, primarily focused on addiction, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. Prior to cofounding VL and DCC, Mr. Dinneen served hundreds of patients at CeDAR for over a decade and was responsible for designing and implementing key parts of the clinical programming, including the 30 day Primary Program, the 60 day Extended Care Program, the 71 day Professionals Program, and the Intimacy Disorder track. Mr. Dinneen is an author, an international trainer and mentor for substance abuse counselors, and regularly presents at industry conferences across the U.S. Mr. Dinneen earned a B.A. in education at Boston College, and a Masters of Social Work at the University of Denver. Michael is married to Jill for 20 years, and a father of two high school aged children. He loves outdoor adventure, travel, and spiritual development.
